Practicing "Detecting the Hand of God" in Cameroon"

In the late autumn of 2019, Li Jinshui embarked on a journey to Cameroon to participate in the construction of the National Assembly Building of Cameroon. This is not only an overseas work dispatch, but also a great test of his professional skills and adaptability.

Just arrived at the Cameroon project site, standing next to the newly dug pile hole, Li Jinshui couldn't help but frown. Looking at the bottomless pile hole, he felt nervous: "The geological conditions here are much more complicated than the domestic projects he has experienced." But his unyielding energy rushed up again, constantly telling himself, "The more difficult things are, the better we must do, especially overseas. We represent Chinese builders."

In order to accurately detect the thickness of sediment at the bottom of the pile, Li Jinshui decided to solve this problem by himself. He found several buckets and some sediment, began to simulate the environment at the bottom of the pile, poured the sediment into the bucket again and again, simulated the sediment of different thicknesses, and then used the detection tool in his hand to simulate the detection. This process is boring and repetitive, but Li Jinshui is "happy. After countless times of practice, he finally developed a pair of "detection magic hands", which can accurately judge whether the thickness of sediment at the bottom of the pile meets the specification requirements by hand feeling.

The special geological conditions have brought great difficulties to the determination of the end-bearing pile into the rock. For this reason, he collected extensive data and insisted on going to the site for construction. Whenever a rock sample is fished out, he will check it for the first time and compare it with the description in the data. By increasing the frequency of rock sample fishing and key node fishing, with advanced core sampling, the final successful determination of the rock interface for the smooth progress of the project has laid a solid foundation.

"There are always more ways than difficulties. As long as we do it with our heart, there will be no difficulties that cannot be overcome." Li Jinshui often encourages himself and his colleagues in this way, and he also perfectly interprets the profound meaning of this sentence with practical actions.

Small innovation achievement "waterproof secret"

In 2023, Li Jinshui participated in the construction of the future Xingke Low Carbon Industrial Park project. This time he "drilled" into the research on the overlapping gap between the waterproofing of the base plate coiled material and the waterproofing of the vertical wall coiled material. This problem does not seem to be big, but it is directly related to the waterproof performance of the whole building, which is a pain point for the project team.

In order to find a solution, Li Jinshui went deep into the field and carefully observed every waterproof detail. He consulted the data, discussed and communicated with colleagues, and continued to test a variety of different waterproof node technology practices to find the most suitable treatment method.

"I came up with a way to bake 5 centimeters in advance at the corner of the sun." Li Jinshui put forward his own innovative plan at a technical seminar. He elaborated on the principle and operation steps of this scheme, which was recognized and supported by his colleagues.

Subsequently, Li Jinshui led the team to practice according to this plan. After a series of inspection and acceptance, the problem of overlapping gap was successfully solved, and the dust on the ground was prevented from being scattered during concrete pouring. The waterproof was damaged due to the inaccurate determination of chiseling strength, thus effectively eliminating the hidden danger of leakage.
