Reaching Outward Across Mountains and Seas: Group Chairman Wang Deguo Visits Malaysia for Research!

Recently, Wang Deguo, Chairman of Beijing Urban Construction Northern Group, conducted a special work research trip overseas on the development of international business. In view of the new stage of high-quality development of the jointly-built "Belt and Road", he further studied the group's overseas strategic deployment and outlined a new blueprint for international business. During the research trip, Wang Deguo held cooperation talks with multiple partners and investigated the group's Malaysian project, as well as visiting overseas employees. Working Together to Create a New Chapter of the Silk Road

While in Malaysia, Chairman Wang Deguo paid a key visit to relevant clients with whom the group has had a long-term cooperation. The clients fully affirmed the group's engineering construction capabilities and high-quality service capabilities, and expressed their good intentions for in-depth cooperation and common development in the future. In the meeting, both sides agreed that the Malaysian market has sustained and enormous development potential. Under the support of the national "Belt and Road" initiative, they are full of confidence in the broad prospects of investment and engineering construction, and jointly look forward to working together to create a new chapter of the Silk Road. During the research trip, Wang Deguo also exchanged views with some overseas Chinese companies, learning from each other and working together to create a business card for Chinese enterprises overseas.

 

Tackling Benchmark Projects, Building Overseas Monuments

Wang Deguo also investigated the Sofitel Hotel complex project currently under construction by the group, visiting the top floor of Tower 1, the steel connecting bridge, and the model room of Tower 1, among other difficult areas, and learned in detail about the project's progress.

Tower 3 of the Sofitel Hotel complex—the headquarters building of the Arab Bank—was successfully delivered on January 25. The curtain wall projects of Towers 1 and 2 have been basically completed, and interior decoration is currently underway, with an estimated completion date of the first half of this year. Tower 1, standing at 345 meters, sets a new height for all-cast-in-place concrete structures in Malaysia, becoming another landmark building in Kuala Lumpur.

During the research trip, Wang Deguo held a symposium with employees of the International Company. Looking to the future, Wang Deguo emphasized that with the entry of the national jointly-built "Belt and Road" into a new stage of high-quality development, and General Secretary Xi's proposed new development direction of "three coordinations," especially the coordinated promotion of major landmark projects and "small and beautiful" livelihood projects, and the coordinated consolidation of cooperation in traditional fields and the steady expansion of cooperation in emerging fields, has opened up more opportunities for the group's future international business development. The group will firmly maintain confidence in overseas development, actively conduct research, and steadily promote its overseas development strategy, contributing "Northern" strength to the prosperity of the jointly-built "Belt and Road".
