The Beijing Normal University Future Experimental School Project Launch

　　On April 2, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Beijing Normal University Future Experimental School project, undertaken by Beijing Urban Construction Northern Group, was held. The project is located in the "Life Valley" of Future Science City, Changping District, Beijing. It is planned as a 12-year public school encompassing primary, middle, and high school levels, with the initial phase focusing on a nine-year school. Upon completion, it will significantly improve the region's educational resources and better serve the development of the Life Science Park and Future Science City.

　　Li Xiaotao, Deputy Director of the Beijing Municipal Development and Reform Commission; Wang Fang, Member of the Beijing Municipal Committee of Education and Deputy Director of the Beijing Municipal Education Commission; Wang Shoujun, Standing Committee Member and Executive Vice President of Beijing Normal University; Gan Jingzhong, Secretary of the Changping District Committee and Secretary of the Future Science City Party Working Committee; Liu Xiaodong, Deputy Secretary of the Changping District Committee, District Mayor, Deputy Secretary of the Future Science City Party Working Committee, and Director of the Management Committee; and other Changping District leaders Ni Na, Ma Chunxiu, and Wang Jian attended the event. Relevant leaders from the Beijing Municipal Development and Reform Commission, Changping District, and the Future Science City Management Committee also participated. Wang Yunping, President of the Group, attended the event and delivered a speech.

　　In his speech, Liu Xiaodong stated that Beijing Normal University, a leading national higher normal university, possesses profound advantages in basic education resources. He expressed hope that Beijing Normal University would fully leverage its strengths to conduct in-depth cooperation with Changping in teacher training, curriculum development, and collaborative education, jointly creating a "new model" of school-city integrated development and working together to build a world-class modern new city that is conducive to science and education, employment, and living.

 

Wang Shoujun, Standing Committee Member and Executive Vice President of Beijing Normal University, delivered a speech.

 

　　In his speech, Wang Shoujun stated that the Beijing Normal University Future Experimental School will inherit the motto of Beijing Normal University, "Learning to be a teacher, behaving as a model," striving to become a benchmark school for the new era, characterized by humanistic foundation, green environment, intelligent empowerment, and a future-oriented approach. He also expressed hope that both the school and the local government would use this as a starting point to explore and promote the deep integration of education and technology chains, creating a new pattern for high-quality development in basic education.

　　In his speech at the launch event, Wang Yunping stated that as an outstanding member enterprise of Beijing Urban Construction Group, the Group has undertaken the construction of many key universities and schools, including Tsinghua University, Peking University, and Beijing No. 11 School, possessing rich engineering management experience in school-related projects. He emphasized that education is crucial for national development, and in the construction of the Beijing Normal University Future Experimental School, the Group will uphold its commitment as a national craftsman, pushing forward the project construction with a determined attitude, completing all engineering construction tasks with high quality, and striving to provide a safe, comfortable, and modern learning environment for Changping students, providing solid support for technological innovation and talent gathering.

Beijing Normal University Future Experimental School Project

 

　　The Beijing Normal University Future Experimental School (nine-year consistent) project, undertaken by the Group, has a total construction area of 40,200 square meters. It comprises two teaching buildings, one library, one auditorium and cafeteria, and one covered playground, including primary and junior high school sections, with a capacity of 54 classes.

 

 

　　The school is being built and resourced to the standards of a directly affiliated school of Beijing Normal University. After completion and commissioning, it will be managed and operated according to the standards of Beijing Normal University's directly affiliated schools, with support from the Second Affiliated Middle School of Beijing Normal University. The introduction of Beijing Normal University's high-quality education brand will further enhance the region's talent attraction and competitiveness, providing strong talent support and intellectual support for "Life Valley" to become a world-leading life science innovation center.
