The Beijing Disabled Service Demonstration Center Project undertaken by the Group staged the "Huiai Carnival"

Recently, a unique "Huiai Carnival" party performed by people with disabilities was staged at the Beijing Disabled Service Demonstration Center (Huiai Building). The performances of friends with disabilities in the capital were brilliant, and they also showed the service results of the demonstration center's vocational rehabilitation, art rehabilitation and public welfare services for the disabled in the past year.

The activity thanked all sectors of the community for their support and care. Beijing Urban Construction North Group was invited to participate as the contractor of Huiai Building. Zhang Wanli, the company's rotating president, and Zhang Shuangyao, the project executive manager of Huiai Building, were represented at the activity.

Huiai Building (Beijing Disabled Service Demonstration Center), as a professional comprehensive service demonstration base for the disabled in the city, undertakes the functions of incubating and promoting disabled service projects, and carrying out the functions of displaying and exchanging the development achievements of the cause of the disabled. An important window for the image and the development achievements of the cause of the disabled in China has been included in the external reception and display window unit of the Beijing 2022 Winter Paralympic Games.
The barrier-free special design of the project won the top ten excellent cases of barrier-free facilities design for the first time in the country in 2020, and was rated as one of the 22 excellent typical cases of barrier-free environment construction for the first time in the country by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the China Disabled Persons' Federation in 2021.

Huiai Building is a typical urban renewal project, which is transformed from Rongxin Building, an old-fashioned office building built in 1993. The project is located at No. 23, Lianhuachi Nanli, Fengtai District, Beijing, with 22 floors above ground and 2 floors underground, with a total construction area of 33200 square meters. The renovation of the project includes the construction of two additional floors on the top floor as a whole, subversive renovation of the facade, construction of a new appearance in line with the new characteristics of the times, and all-round and breakthrough renovation in accordance with the innovative construction standards for barrier-free use and the process room.

During the construction process, in order to ensure better service and protection for the disabled, the management team has repeatedly invited barrier-free experts and disabled people to conduct on-site experience and consult opinions during the construction, continuously optimize the design, and improve the technology and requirements of barrier-free construction. "Every edge must be round, not a right angle" has become a basic principle in construction, ensuring that the installation position of all facilities is accurate to millimeters, which greatly meets the use requirements and is widely praised by construction units and people with disabilities.

At the same time, the project team actively summarizes the construction experience, continuously optimizes and improves the construction standards of barrier-free projects, unifies specifications, standards and construction processes, in order to achieve a wider range of applications and serve the construction needs of more special groups.
