Chengdu Tianfu International Airport is the largest civil transportation hub airport project in the national "13th Five-Year Plan" and is scheduled to be basically completed by the end of 2020. As the No. 1 project in Sichuan Province, the project will build a "world-class and domestic leading" humanistic, intelligent and green airport. Among the new airports currently planned and constructed in China, the scale is second only to Beijing's new airport.

The project is divided into three bid sections, of which the comprehensive transfer center project (GTC bid section) has a total construction area of about 480000 square meters, which is undertaken by the general contracting department of Beijing Urban Construction Group, with the participation of four secondary companies. The bid section is divided into four areas of responsibility A, B, C and D. North Group is responsible for the construction of Area D. The construction area of this area is about 130000 square meters, including 410 meters of subway and highway tunnels and about 40000 square meters. The utility tunnel is 1000 meters, about 10000 square meters; The southern district of GTC transfer center is 65000 square meters. APM and 1# luggage management corridor tunnel are 380 meters, about 15000 square meters.

Area D is the throat of the whole bid section to and from the construction site. Among the four responsibility areas, the three-dimensional structure is the most complex, the internal and external coordination units are the most, and the area and construction management are the most difficult. Many roads are involved in the area, with many passing vehicles and extremely difficult traffic organization. The coordination between bid sections is large, which not only meets the construction progress of Area D, but also provides convenient services for other brother units. Tianfu Airport Project Department of the Group has formulated a scientific and reasonable site plan according to the actual situation of the site and through multi-party coordination. At present, two road reforms have been successfully completed, providing the necessary guarantee for the subway and other districts to rush for work.

APM rapid transit system (Automated People Mover System), also known as "small subway", is an unmanned rail transit system. At present, the APM system under construction and built in the world's major airports adopts the system design of sharing platform and carriage by passengers on the air and land side at the same time, and only Chengdu Tianfu International Airport is one. APM structure wall thickness of 1 meters, 5.5 meters high wall, belongs to the mass concrete construction. As one of the participating units, North Group, after discussion and demonstration in the construction process, selected plastic-coated multi-layer wood I-beam field assembly type unilateral formwork system for the exterior wall formwork of the enclosure pile area. The formwork system has the advantages of high strength, light weight, convenient modification and good quality of concrete forming. It is the first unit to apply this technology in the three general contracting sections of the terminal area. After the construction is completed, the concrete appearance effect is good, the forming quality is high, and it has been well received by all parties in the construction.

Especially since September, the project department has taken the lead in completing multiple sub-projects by refining the construction deployment and integrating various resources, overcoming multiple difficulties such as humidity and rain, shortage of materials, and shortage of labor. On September 2, the first section of the comprehensive pipe gallery fertilizer tank backfill construction was completed; on September 7, the 4200m3 concrete pouring of the first section of the subway and highway tunnel floor in the terminal area was completed, and on September 9, the main structure construction of APM and the first section of the fertilizer tank backfill were completed first compared with other bid sections...
