The Speaker of the National Assembly of Kazakhstan inspected the National Assembly Building Project
Recently, on the eve of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Cameroon, Ambassador to Cameroon Wang Yingwu and the Speaker of the National Assembly of Cameroon Kavaye jointly inspected the project of the National Assembly Building of China's aid to Cameroon. Diodore, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Mbella, Minister of External Relations, Wakata, Minister of Relations with the Parliament of the Presidential Palace, Komba, Secretary-General of the National Assembly, and Guo Jianjun, Economic and Commercial Counselor of the Embassy accompanied the inspection.
Wang Yingwu said that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Cameroon 50 years ago, cooperation in various fields has achieved fruitful results. The National Assembly Building Project is a concrete measure taken by China to implement the consensus of the leaders of the two countries and the ten major cooperation plans between China and Africa, and is a vivid manifestation of the traditional friendship and cooperation between China and Cameroon. China is willing to make joint efforts with Cameroon to make the project a new symbol of China-Cameroon friendship. Speaker Kavaye, Deputy Speaker Diodore, and Foreign Minister Mbella spoke highly of the friendly and cooperative relations between China and Cameroon since the establishment of diplomatic relations 50 years ago, and expressed heartfelt thanks to China for its assistance in the construction of the National Assembly building and its long-term selfless support and assistance to Cameroon. He said that the fruitful cooperation between China and Cameroon has brought tangible benefits to the two peoples, and hoped that the two countries will continue to deepen friendly cooperation and push China-Cameroon relations to a new level. During the visit to the project site, the guests fully affirmed the construction of the project.
The Cameroon National Assembly Building Project is the largest project in China's aid to Cameroon. It is located in Yaounde, the capital of Cameroon in Africa. It includes the semicircle conference hall and auxiliary rooms, celebration hall, office building and other functional rooms, as well as the square outside the building., Roads, fountains, outdoor parking lots, fences and other ancillary facilities. The construction land area of the project is 64031 ㎡, and the construction area is 41147 ㎡. The construction is planned to be completed in 2023. The on-site management team involved in the construction of the Group overcame unfavorable factors such as differences in culture and regional habits and the continued intensification of the local epidemic, insisted on epidemic prevention on the one hand, production on the other, and strictly closed construction management, ensuring zero infection of the epidemic on the site and effectively ensuring the orderly progress of construction tasks.
