City Yuehui Shopping Mall Reinterprets the Beautiful Life in Beiyuan Area

Time is like a tide, cities are constantly changing, and the definition of a good life is full of layers. Recently, the "City Yuehui" shopping mall transformed by Beijing Urban Construction North Group made a stunning appearance and will officially open at the end of September.

The project is located in Beiyuan Jiayuan residential area, Chaoyang District, Beijing. As one of the representatives of Beijing's super-large communities, Beiyuan area has a million-level permanent population, complete living facilities and mature business district planning. With the upgrading of consumption patterns and residents' needs, yishida plaza (the original name of the shopping mall), an old commercial center in beiyuan area, built in 2004, can no longer meet the needs of today's people in terms of interior and exterior decoration, structural layout, functional use, municipal greening, etc., and is in urgent need of upgrading and renovation to usher in a new journey.

The project has a total construction area of 49800 square meters, with 9 floors above ground and 1 floor underground. The renovation content includes demolishing and redecorating the main building and basement decorative surface according to the new use requirements, demolishing and reinforcing the main structure, and redecorating and renovating the municipal and landscaping environment.

Since the start of the project in October 2021, the project team has carefully planned, strictly adhered to quality standards, implemented various measures for safe and civilized production, overcome a series of difficulties such as epidemic situation, no vertical transportation, construction noise control and dust control, and finally delivered on schedule.

In the process of upgrading and renovation of the shopping mall, the project team continuously optimized the design and construction practices, applied BIM technology in depth, and optimized the design of the lighting roof of the north and south atrium and the four-story lower reverse beam beam-column node of the project. The renovated transparent lighting roof greatly improved the aesthetic feeling of the building. At the same time, the project team insists on scientific and technological innovation. As of the end of the project, 1 invention patent and 4 utility model patents have been authorized.

The transformed "City Yuehui" shopping mall has greatly strengthened the organic integration with the surrounding urban public space and improved the life service experience in Beiyuan area. The shopping mall has added 164 motorized parking spaces and 100 non-motorized parking spaces, which alleviates the parking problem in Beiyuan area to a certain extent.

The "Chengyuehui" shopping mall project is another major work of the group in the field of urban renewal after the public construction project Beijing Disabled Service Demonstration Center, the cultural and tourism project Shijingshan Model Kou Historical and Cultural District Project, Shijingshan Model Kou Fahai Temple Museum Project, Huangshan Tunxi Old Street Project and the residential project Haidian Old Community Reconstruction Project, filling the gap of urban renewal business commercial projects and accumulating valuable experience for the group's urban renewal construction.
