The opening of the Beijing Winter Paralympic Games is imminent. On the afternoon of February 28, Cai Qi, secretary of the municipal party committee and chairman of the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee, went to the National Swimming Center and the Beijing Disabled Service Demonstration Center to investigate and study. At the Beijing Service demonstration Center for the disabled built by the group, Cai Qi learned in detail about the development of the cause of the disabled in our city, inspected the display of scientific and technological products for the disabled, affirmed the beautiful environment and barrier-free facilities of the center, and praised the Beijing disabled for participating in the Winter Paralympic Games. He pointed out that the success of the Winter Paralympic Games is inseparable from the care, support and participation of the majority of disabled friends. We should adhere to the first good standard and take the winter Paralympic Games as an opportunity to promote the high-quality development of the cause of the disabled in the capital. The disabled are a member of the big social family. We should do a good job in helping the disabled with our heart and emotion, and create a warm home for the disabled. The Beijing Service demonstration Center for the disabled is the external reception and display window unit of the Winter Paralympic Games, and it is a demonstration model to show the level of domestic high-standard barrier-free environment construction, which is built by Beijing Urban Construction North Group. The center has all kinds of services such as vocational rehabilitation, day care, rehabilitation training and employment training. It is an important platform for organizing and carrying out various service demonstration work for the disabled, incubating and promoting service projects for the disabled, and providing practical training for the employment of the disabled. The quality of project construction and the configuration of barrier-free facilities have been well received by superior units and people with disabilities.

The project is located at No. 23, Lianhuachi Nanli, Fengtai District. It was transformed from Rongxin Building, an old-fashioned office building built in 1993. The project has many renovation projects and high requirements for the construction of barrier-free facilities, which brings great challenges to the management team. As it serves the disabled, it has become a basic principle in the construction that every edge must be round and no right angle can be seen. The project management team of Beijing Urban Construction North Group has strengthened innovative research, jointly tackled key problems with China Disabled Persons' Federation and Beijing Architectural Design and Research Institute, and carried out demonstration tests on alarm system, high and low electrical system, barrier free handrail, lighting system and other facilities.

In order to ensure that barrier-free facilities can be accurately installed in place, the project management team deepened the design, and the installation position of all facilities must be accurate to millimeters. In order to ensure the experience effect, the project personnel adhere to the on-site simulation experience and invite barrier-free experts to form an observer mission to "find fault" on a regular basis to ensure that the use function really meets the needs of the disabled, and strive to form a product series with specific effects. Through the establishment of barrier-free engineering construction standards, unified specifications, unified standards and unified construction processes, in order to promote replication and realize wider application.

In order to ensure the smooth development of the reception and display of the Beijing 2022 Winter Paralympic Games, four managers of the group led six migrant workers to do a good job in all kinds of escort work, to ensure that the role of the demonstration center window is fully brought into play, and to show China's humanistic image to the international community, the development achievements of China's cause for the disabled and the level of service guarantee for the disabled in the capital.
